FACTS ON ASSAULT BY MILITARY PERSONNEL.

1️⃣ Background:

Warrant Officer Class One (WO1) Williams Mensah sent his son to a pharmacy to buy a dewormer. The boy was shown three options and chose one priced at GH₵65.

2️⃣ Refund Dispute:

WO1 later rejected the medicine and sent his son back to request a refund. He reportedly called the pharmacy through his son’s phone but was informed that medicines once sold cannot be returned or refunded.

3️⃣ Confrontation:

Unsatisfied with the response, WO1 accompanied his son back to the pharmacy and demanded a refund. The incident was captured on CCTV.

4️⃣ Assault:

During the altercation, the daughter of a Two-Star Army General, who was also at the pharmacy to buy medicine, became involved.

WO1, in anger, assaulted both the pharmacy attendant and the General’s daughter.

5️⃣ Further Violence:

When the lady attempted to record the incident, WO1 slapped and beat her again outside the pharmacy.

6️⃣ Aftermath:

The pharmacy attendant eventually refunded the GH₵65 upon WO1’s return.

WO1 has since been arrested by the Military Police.
